Ideas for Bar Mitzvah Centerpieces
![]() |
The bar mitzvah is a special day for any young Jewish man. Held after a boy turns 13, the bar mitzvah celebrates his passage to adulthood, at least in the eyes of the Jewish church. In addition to being a spiritually significant event that will be remembered for a lifetime, the bar mitzvah is also a big celebration. It is similar to a wedding reception in that there are decorations, games, party favors, entertainment and more. On the subject of decorations, one of the most important are bar mitzvah centerpieces.
The centerpiece is what sits in the middle of a table and is the main focal point. Of course, you want a centerpiece that reflects the spirit of the occasion. There are no set rules when it comes to the table centerpiece. Some people go with floral arrangements, others choose something more spiritually significant. One example of a centerpiece might be a Torah crown or candelabra. Browsing some party stores or even some catalogs can give you ideas about what kind of centerpiece you want.
If you're the creative type, you can get ideas from stores and catalogs then craft your own table centerpieces. You want to make sure the centerpieces you select match the overall color scheme you've chosen. It's best to choose a centerpiece with some spiritual significance, since this is the entire meaning of the bar mitzvah. The size of the centerpiece is another consideration. You don't want the centerpiece to be too large because it will take up too much room. However if it is too small it won't look right. Therefore, try to choose a centerpiece that is an appropriate size for the table you're using.
Of course, you might want to buy your bar mitzvah table centerpieces or have them custom made. If so, the Internet can be a treasure trove of resources and information. You can browse and shop for centerpieces and other bar mitzvah items right from home. It's often possible to find better prices online than you can in stores. Not only that, but you can find lots of selection as well. By shopping online, you're able to find items that you may not have access to at your local party shop. And selection in certainly important, because you want your son's bar mitzvah to be as special as it possibly can be, down to every last detail!
